I am Petra Haans, 44 years old from a place nearby Amsterdam, the Netherlands. 

I have two lower leg and finger amputations because I had a septic shock with multi-organ failure at the age of 38. 

I’ve spend two years in hospitals, but determined to walk again. I am a fighter and walk on prostheses now. 

I feel the sparkle and want to go for it! I want to live! 

I swim and do Zumba sports and dance at a dance academy. I enjoy life despite everything, go out with friends to theater and concerts because I love music! 

Because I have experienced this, I am often asked to speak in front of groups about my story and especially the mindset and power. I feel the fire in my soul!

I want to show people that everything is possible if you open up to all the opportunities in your life. A wheelchair is an opportunity to freedom for me. A chariot for independence! And I want to radiate that!
