Hermine is 27 years old and comes from the Brittany region of France. She came to live in Paris several vears ago. After studving law, she worked in the legal profession and then in real estate. Suffering from scoliosis, she was forced to wear a corset day and night throughout her teenage years. She finally underwent surgery in 2015 to straighten her spine. It's a condition that's rarely talked about, even though it's a major handicap in everyday life. She has lost a lot of her mobility because her spine is held in place by two titanium bars that she will keep for the rest of her life.
She now lives with a long scar on her back and still has a deformed back. She has had to change her habits and, in particular, has had to give up sports she was passionate about, such as athletics, horse-riding and gymnastics. She now devotes herself to gentler sports such as walking, pilates and swimming. For a long time, she saw her difference as a complex and has now decided to turn it into a strength by joining the Zebedee agency. It's a disability that's invisible in everyday life, and people don't necessarily understand her need to remain mobile because she has to sit down or stand up regularly.
It is not possible for her to remain in a static position for long periods, and at just 27 years of age, people find it hard to understand why she cannot give up her seat on public transport, for example.
For her, it is therefore essential to get people talking about invisible disabilities and to remind them that there is no age limit so that they can become aware of them.
