Theodore is a natural born entertainer, with an ability to draw people in. Hobbies include reading, swimming, cricket and music. Theodore loves to put on magic shows, starting with a ‘I can’t hear you’ if the applause as he enters the room isn’t loud enough.. Theodore has a natural flexibility that comes with having downs syndrome, he will often end his ‘performances’ with the splits (not forgetting the tada)
He knows how to perform to an audience and loves being in front of a camera. He has gained much confidence in drama, dancing and singing by taking part in weekly ‘On the Stage’ sessions run by national company Rattle & Roll performance. Theodore takes direction well, impressing the photographer at his headshots ‘take one more!’. He has a warmth that brings out the best in people.
Theodore was born with a hole in his heart and had successful open heart surgery at 6 months old, leaving a beautiful 4 inch scar on his chest that is a reminder of what he can boss! He has taken the resilience he showed during that journey into every aspect of his life, taking opportunities with both hands and thriving as a result, be it throwing himself into his performing arts sessions, or the enthusiasm and determination he shows at school. He is lucky to be surrounded by exceptional teachers that not only care about creating an inclusive learning environment but have such high expectations and the environment has seen him blossom into a confident, bright little bean. Theodore’s nature says ‘I’m up for it, let’s go’.
Theodore is based in Nottingham, and is able to travel.
