Arturo is a cheeky, lively and self-assured little boy who happens to be born with a special

paw (his words).

He is half English and half Italian. He has just started reading in his Reception class and

loves books in both Italian and English. He loves riding his bicycle without stabilisers,

climbing and exploring outdoors, both in Cornwall and Sardinia where his mum and dad

are from.

He loves his ballet club at school and is an active member of a performance school on the

weekend. Having a “special paw” means that Arturo had to become adept at finding

solutions and new ways of doing things, from climbing trees and walls in the playground,

to learning to ride scooter and bicycle. He has shown incredible resilience and

determination in overcoming the challenges posed by his limb difference. With love and

support, he is thriving and proving that anything is possible.
