Jacob Pickering is a very mature 14 year old. He took part in a campaign for the Rugby
world cup 2023, showing the world his love for Rugby and his passion for life, defined as a
trailblazer by JLR (Defender). The feedback from this was amazing with people getting in
touch from all over the world. The JLR campaign was the most successful to date. Initially
five were chosen and upon meeting Jacob, JLR decided they wanted him to be the face of
the campaign. His face was used on all the major billboards across the country and in other
parts of the world including France, Australia, New Zealand and the USA. The photographer
was very complimentary about how easy Jacob was to work with, the crew loved him and
he loved the work. He was interviewed by talksport and featured on the TV numerous
times for interviews including the red sofa on BBC breakfast, North west tonight and ITV
news. At christmas he was invited to switch on our home town Christmas lights and his
story has featured in several magazines and newspaper publications.
Being born with no left hand and having a visible disability has never stopped Jacob from
taking part in anything he has wanted to do or at least try. He plays the guitar, snow
boards, full contact rugby up to Lancashire county cup final standard and he loves to keep
busy. Currently at 14 he is fashion crazy and adidas is his favourite brand.
At school his options are Engineering, PE & History he is currently in year 10.
Jacob has just recieved a new Hero Arm, his third bionic arm, he has been very lucky to
have one since the age of 10. He loves travelling, gaming, vintage clothes and a great
passion for music, he collects vinyls and loves attending gigs. The next one being
