BIOGRAPHY
Thomas joined the Zebedee family in August 2020, just a year after he had his left leg amputated. He hit the ground running, being selected immediately for his first modelling job with streetwear brand, BeatBoyz. But that was just the start. Since then, he has also modelled for several River Island campaigns, and featured in commercials for HSBC and Toyota (Winter Paralympics).
Thomas’ TV career has also taken off. In 2021, he was successful in his auditions for a lead role in CBBC Class Dismissed Series 6. Thomas plays Year 7 student, ‘Nick’, in all ten episodes. And, he has now found out that the programme has been nominated for two Comedy.co.uk awards: Best TV Sketch Show and Comedy of the Year.
And that’s not all! Thomas has also entered the world of TV presenting. He is one of the new cohort of presenters on SKY Kids’ weekly news show, FYI. So far, he has presented from ‘Up at the O2’, interviewed Hollywood A-Lister, Gillian Anderson, about her role in Netflix animation, Robin Robin, and interviewed the leading actors from the new Home Alone move (Aisling Bea and Archie Yates).
There are more exciting jobs to come, including a trip to Brazil to film an episode of FYI spin-off Kidversation. Prior to his amputation, Thomas spent ten years going in and out of Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) to try and fix a congenital deformity of his leg. He made the brave decision in 2019 to “chop it off”. It’s clear to everyone that he’s had no regrets and doesn’t let his disability hold him back. Indeed, quite the opposite… he shows great determination whether it’s in pursuing his dream jobs in TV and film. or in tackling his next charity fundraising challenge (of which there have been many). And one thing everyone notices is that he doesn’t stop smiling!
Thomas is also incredibly proud to be able to represent disability in TV and the media and have a role in helping everyone be more accepting of ‘difference’.
