Tayla is a very friendly person and gets on with everyone she meets. She is a very active person too and loves to take part in all sports.
When she was at school she was part of most of the sports teams and she also started to play football at our local club. Tayla was also very fortunate to apply and be selected as one of the ball girls for Arsenal Football Club for the season 2013/14.
Tayla was diagnosed with CRPS - Complex Regional Pain Syndrome which is also referred to as The Suicide Disease as the pain is so great. In April 2019 Tayla made the hard and also the easiest decision to have her leg amputated. She found a Professor in Hull that agreed to help her and in September 2019, her leg was amputated above the knee. All the pain had gone!!! And now she could start to rebuild her life.
She can walk – which she never thought she would do again, Tayla has also started to run. Nothing is stopping her now. This was the best decision that she made.
Tayla has just returned from 10 weeks as a Sports Counsellor at Summer Camp in America. She taught children Archery and football amongst loads of others. She went on a zip wire, horse riding, rock climbing, She WILL try anything and nothing is going to stop her.
