Alice is an 18 year old ambulatory wheelchair user, with Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder, who loves music, vintage fashion and literature. For Alice, raising awareness of disability and promoting inclusion, be it in the sporting world or within mainstream media, is an important goal in her life.
Alice is outgoing and bubbly, which is reflected in her love for acting and performing arts. Throughout her time in school, Alice was involved in her school’s drama department, taking part in choir performances and the school’s theatre productions. She also gained a Distinction in BTEC Level 2 Performing Arts.
From a young age, disability sport has been a key part of Alice’s life. She started playing wheelchair basketball at 7 years old and fell in love with the sport. Alice continued playing regularly until the age of 14, when she discovered wheelchair tennis. For the past four years, wheelchair tennis has been really important to Alice, who spends her time training and competing, as well as developing the skills of younger players. Through wheelchair tennis, Alice has been involved with a number of media opportunities, both local news
(television and radio) and wider promotional filming for the LTA, in collaboration with brands such as Vodafone and Uniqlo.
