Roisin doesn't let her disability hold her back. She is a strong believer in disability visibility and representation in the media as she says she never saw herself reflected in the media at a young age so she has "become part of the change she wanted to see". She is friendly, open and good team player.
Roisin has worked with many brands such as The BBC, Primark, YouTube, Converse and more. Roisin is a wheelchair user and can walk short distances using walking aids.
CREATIVES
Roisin is a keen writer and enjoys both feature and creative writing. As she makes the jump into freelance journalism, Roisin is eager to broaden her horizons in the field. She enjoys writing long-form features, articles, reviews, and short stories. Her aspirations include writing for publications such as Dazed, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, or PopSugar. Roisin's interests lie in fashion, culture, entertainment, and social issues and she sees herself as a spokesperson for disabled people. She knows what is current and is aware of the latest trends and developments. Currently, Roisin is pursuing her NCTJ accreditation.
Roisin's Writing Background:
Having completed her Media Journalism and Publishing degree with a 2:1, Roisin has accumulated a wide breadth of writing experience, both within and outside her degree. During her degree, she held the role of Creative Editor for her university magazine. Furthermore, she has written for The Sun Online, publishing several articles.
