BIOGRAPHY
I have symbrachydactyly, and struggled to accept my appearance growing up due to bullying. As I got older, I learnt of the strengths I have because of my disability. I have grown a platform on social media of over 350,000 followers and use it to show the beauty, power and fun that comes with looking different, which secured me a place on TikTok’s official creator programme. I am a vivacious, humorous and confident person who embraces every change, or negative in life, as a process that creates something even more beautiful. I have worked with beauty, fashion, food and tech brands, and love the creativity associated with each one of these areas, as a whole different type of beauty is created. I work with charity ‘Reach’, supporting people with upper limb disabilities and recently took part in their virtual family day. I am also part of the National Youth Trends 2020-2021 (NYT) advising businesses on how they can be more inclusive through the research we conduct with generation Z. I was part of Washington Ireland Program 2020 class, which aims to provide the leaders of the next generation with the skills to be active and effective leaders in society. I was selected to intern in New York under an influential business owner for 2 months, however, this was cancelled due to COVID-19. In the sustainable fashion industry from age 13 to 19, I volunteered with Community Arts Partnership’s Trash Fashion, which organises fashion shows over Northern Ireland only using recycled clothing and materials with the intention of promoting sustainability and cross community work. We worked mostly with divided communities such as Irish, British and BME communities, to bring them together in collaborative sustainability projects. I believe we have to be the change we want to see in the world, and I am dedicated to doing my part in being that positive change.
